FINE PAIR late 1800s MEISSEN PORCELAIN TURQUOISE & GILT PLATES w/COURTING SCENES Presented is a fine pair of Meissen porcelain turquoise and gilt plates. These plates date to the late 1800s. Each plate features a colorful hand painted courting scene, very detailed and charming. Surrounding the scene is a rich turquoise ground color, with fine gilding around the rim and around the center.Each plate is signed on the back with the Meissen crossed swords, with cancel marks.The plates are in great condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.Each plate is about 7 1/2 inches in diameter.-jm Good luck and .
