From the estate of an avid collector, offered here is a PAIR OF LARGE ALEXSANDER DANEL AUSTIN PROD. 1989 ART DECO MAN & WOMAN STATUES SCULPTURES . Two large, beautiful & weighty pieces set on wooden bases. Possibly created of limestone or durastone, standing approximately 32" tall. Both are marked on base: A. DANELAUSTIN PRODUCTS INC 1989 These sculptures are by artist Alexsander Danel. Born in Estonia in 1940 & trained at Moscow's Industrial Arts School and Fine Arts Academy. Austin Productions is based in Holbrook, New York. Orginially founded in Brooklyn, Austin Sculpture is now one of the leading home and garden statuary companies in the world. The man m easures approx. 32" high and 9" wide x 8" deep at base.The woman measures approx. 31" high and 9" wide x 8" deep at base. In great vintage condition... They display very well.
