ESTATE MEISSEN FIGURINES, RARE AND BEAUTIFUL REDUCED, REDUCED You will not find a pair this exquisite anywhere, rare, original and in excellent condition considering their age. Lovely pair of antique Meissen children figurines. Exquisite craftsmanship is evident in the detail of each piece. These were part of an estate which I inherited and they are very old. The little girl reads a book while the little boy plays the flute. Each figure is approx. 4" high x 4" wide. There is some tiny flaking in the skirt and collar of the little girl, and a tiny flake in the boy's lace sleeve. Otherwise in excellent condition, no chips or repairs in the rest of the figures. there are no cracks, crazing in the porcelin nor damage of any kind other than what I mentioned. In fact, I am not even sure if these are flakes or just part of the pattern. Please ask any questions prior to the end of the auction and I will be happy to answer them. After extensive research as to the originality of these figurines, I am confident that they are not Japanese reproductions. Both are marked with the crossed sword Meissen symbol. I have decribed these to the best of my knowledge, they are beautiful in all respects and rare to find the pair. I do not want to split up the pair.
