You are looking at a magnificent and rare pair of mid-century Italian chairs in flawless condition. These one-of-a-kind pieces supposedly were designed back then for a hotel in the seaside town of Rimini, Italy and I wanted everything to be exactly like the original during the restoration process: the amazing diamond-shaped tufting upholstery at the center of the inside back (note that the flaring "ears" do not have any tufting); the plunging arm rest detail and the lacquered legs are all t, very much like the original. The upholstery fabric was a Ralph Lauren knubby warm beige silk linen, mastered with an absolute perfection by my upholsterer. Each chair measures 30" wide x 32" deep x 33" tall (seat is at 16" high). Could this be a Ponti design? Whichever is the case, this is elegance at its best!
