Murano Glass Clowns Here we have for auction a pair of glass clowns, which we think are Murano glass, although there are no markings or stickers on them any more, so we cannot say for sure. They are in good condition, although a little dusty from storage and will need a bit of time spending on them to clean all the little nooks and crannies created by the twisting of the hot glass to form the swirls of their bow ties etc. We have only been able to find one slight area of damage on the clowns, although, with how they are made, with all the twists, turns and colours, it is difficult to check them all over. As you can see from the close up, part of the taller clown's bow tie has been broken and repaired. There are crackles on the buttons, but as this appears on all the buttons on both the clowns, we assume they are intentional. They stand 8" and 9" high respectively.
