Up for auction is this exquisite pair of antique American sterling silver sauce ladles from the well documented Rhode Island silversmiths Gorham and Company, circa 1880. These identical Old Medici pattern ladles measure approximately 7 inches long. The bowls are 100% and almost free of usage wear. They measure approximately 2 ½ inches long and each ladle weigh in at approximately 2 ½ troy ounces. The ladles are adorned with a sought after Old Medici pattern on the handles. The intricate handles beautifully complement the ladles, as does the clear Gorham hallmarks. These ladles are about as good as antique silver is likely to get, with no visible restorations and very little usage wear. We have set these wonderful ladles with no reserve for all interested bidders.
