A matching pair arts & crafts of turn of the century heavily silverplated egg cups from noted French maker C.Balaine. The cups are in near immaculate condition with no dings, dents or scrapes. The silver retains great brilliance with very modest surface wear and only one small speck of plate loss on the outer edge of one base. Not at all noticeable and only noted for the record. The cups are 2 3/4 inches in height and 1 3/4 inches in diameter across the top. The base is stamped 'C.Balaine a Paris' along with a makers mark and the number 10 for heavy gauge silverplate. A lovely set from a highly collectable maker.
