PAIR of ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER & BRASS CANDLESTICKS!! This auction is for an absolutely stunning pair of French Silver and Brass Candlesticks, circa 1870! These are beautifully detailed, single candlesticks in finely chased fire gilt and silver plated brass or bronze. The candle cup is a very stylized tulip surmounting a ring which holds ancient Greek portraits - one if a male and one female on each side. These are suspended on small rings. T is also a fantastic garland of acanthus with cross ribbons held by a pair of acorn shaped finials. The bases have a great floral ring of silver plate and six feet support the base. This pair is incredible and will certainly be eye catching in any high end home. Each one measures 7.25"H x 6"W.
