Pair of Antique Hand Painted French / Italian Urns Pair of Hand Painted Porcelain Urns/Ewers Please view additional pictures below for you to determine actual condition and detail. All items are sold "AS IS" unless otherwise noted. Stunning pair of porcelain urns are either French or Italian. Dark rich burgundy vase is encircled with a white scalloped panel. The scalloping is painted with a gold border on the top and bottom and wraps all the way around the urn. On the front is 4 raised gold scrollwork which frames the front picture. In between the frame work are 3 burgundy flowers in each corner. Painted on the front of each are 2 different scenes of a musician playing a lute-style guitar. On the first vase the musician is wearing a brown colored Renaissance costume. The woman who is with him is wearing an 1800's rust colored dress. She appears to be dancing. The other picture is a musician in a green and brown Renaissance outfit. He is performing for 2 sitting women - one wearing a blue dress, the other in orange. Both are holding fans. On the back of each vase is a gold flowered garland which drapes down the white panel. Each urn has been decorated with a brass filigree footed base and a richly decorated ewer style spout and handle. They are faux and cannot be used to pour or hold anything. Strictly decorative pieces.
