Beautiful pair of original Eero Saarinen designed chairs, built by Knoll. These have been well preserved in an office since the 1960's and are excellent overall condition. The bent wood legs are laminated walnut. They show some scuffs that are consistent with a chair of this age. The legs unfortunately no longer have their original glides and some of the hardware has been replaced. Thechairs are solidly built and have no loose or damaged connections. The maroon fabric is in excellent condition with no rips, tears,or stains. The fabric color is difficult to reproduce in a photograph, so please refer to the close-up image of the fabric for the most accurate representation of the color. The fabric is maroon. These chairs are identical to the pair of maroon ones that were previously posted.
The legs are easily removable for relatively inexpensive shipping. Dimensions: 26" W x 25 1/2" D x 31" H, Seat: 18" H Shipping Dimensions: 28" W x 28" D x 20" H Auction is for the pair only, and not individual chairs. The pair can either be picked up locally in Washington DC or shipped. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the auction winner. Shipping is estimated at $20-$50 per chair based on location for the continental US, but will be calculated at the end of the auction. This chair can be shipped internationally but the shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the auction winner. Prior to shipping, the legs will be removed and the chairs will be appropriately packaged for shipping.
