PRESENTING A PAIR OF ORIGINAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LOVESEATS. These are Authentic circa 1880s Victorian Period pieces, rare to see in a matching pair. They are absolutely beautifully designed & made, with thickly carved, Solid African Mahogany frames. The backs & sides are swept back & curvy with tall corners in a wonderful Serpentine fashion. As you can see, the upholstery is Original with great button tufted backs. These precious Loveseats do need some love, the webbing under upholstery seat springs has come undone on the bottoms. Any upholsterer can remedy this or you may choose to do this repair yourself. Everything else on these wonderful piece is sturdy & SOLID. The frame Joinery & Carved Cabriolet legs are Solid. Upholstery material has wear in spots as you can see on the arms which can be covered by tradional arm covers. Other areas are ok overall & you may opt to clean & keep original material. I see no rips or tears in the backs or seats. Redone, they would be most spectacular & well worth doing. All Carving work is done by hand, with deeply carved Scroll Work & lovely carved Top Crests. Each measures about 60 inches wide, 28 inches deep & 35 inches high with 42 inch wide, 21 inch deep seating areas.
