**RARE**PAIR of C1880 VICTORIAN 12K ROLLED ROSE GOLD BUCKLE BANGLES I am pleased to offer these gorgeous little Victorian 12k Rolled Rose Gold Buckle bangle bracelet . ..in TRUE ROSE GOLD COLOR. These are for a child and are solid not hollow. It is very RARE to find a matching pair of childrens bangles as they usually sustained rough treatment and were lost. Please note that some of the photos have dark shadows on the bangles, but t are no marks or dark spots this is simply reflection due to the high shine of these cuties ..the photos were taken in rainy conditions outside . Please note the start price is not indicative of the value of these bangles, as i start all my childrens items at this price. HISTORY They are Circa 1880 by design and styling . It has a beautiful flowing Victorian design - consisting of fabulous engravings around the outer front surface that consist of Art Nouveau designs and flower buds .. and they have that beautiful Olde Worlde charm. . DESCRIPTION & SIZING They are a fabulous antique TRUE rose gold color, .and they have that antique patina you would expect with quality gold jewelry.... it also has that smooth feel usually associated with solid karat gold These are either rolled gold or gold shell.. and while not stamped the outer surface tests for a minimum of 12k and under 15k .. These bangles had a thick outer layer of gold over an underlying thin core, hence their flexibility...as they are quite fine but extremely strong. It is SOLID NOT HOLLOW and tfore can be worn daily and would withstand a lot of punishment. The design is on the entire exterior of each bangle and consists of foliage as described above .. . . and the insides are plain and smooth and so shiny... .. The bands measures 31/4 in width and the inside measures just under 5" which is in keeping with Victorian Times and the carvings are intricate and STUNNING !!!... It is a buckle type bracelet and has three notches... so it will fit a multitude of little wrists ranging from babies to toddlers . These would also look fantastic on a large antique bisque doll such as a Kestner. They really are exquiste , and will one day become a lovely family heirloom pieces. They weigh approx 6 grams which further adds to its appeal..as these are lightweight and wont bother the little ones ! The only fault I can see is a little age wear inside near the buckle edgeS, and sliding claspS..... but this would polish up nicely and I will leave this to the new owner...it is not visible when being worn Also one of the bangles is missing its faux buckle but it looks quite okay without it ...but is just mentioned for accuracy.. and apart from that they are in just wonderful antique condition fortheir vast age .! . This is a MUST for the Victorian collector, or the antique rose gold bangle collector. The photos do not reflect the beautiful rose gold color, it was hard to capture ..and the photos appear dull and dark as it was so overcast outside .. I couldnt capture the brilliant shine to the gold.........they do NOT do this gorgeous thing justice at all ! Please check my feedback so you may feel confident shopping with me.
