Pair of Vintage Murano Venini Handblown Table Lamps

Up for bid are two beautiful hand blown lamps. I bought them from a renowned auctioneer and art glass collector at an auction in the late nineties. It was said that they were made in Murano, Italy and attributed to Venini because of the gold-bronze sparkly ribbons of glass spiraling from top to bottom. The bronze sparkles set off the gorgeous gold Florentine molded bases and other brass accents of the lamps as well as contrasting wonderfully with the predominate cloud white and sky blue colors in the glass.
The lamps measure about 20" to the center of the socket and 30" to the top of the harp. One harp is 1/2" shorter than the other. The brass parts on the lamps (harps, finials, caps, sockets) show some normal aging but the glass and bases appear unaffected by time. My guess is that these lamps were made in the fifties or sixties. T are a few small stress marks near the neck w the glass forms its sharpest curve. These are not cracks or flaws in the glass but are as natural as the tiny bubbles that are also present due to the hand blowing process. I installed the three-way sockets and finials, but everything else looks original to me. Both of these lamps are in excellent condition. If interested, I could install new sockets and harps, polish the finials and brass caps, and re-wire the lamps for a little extra charge, of course. I defer this to the customer because not everyone likes the brand new polished look, me for one. The lamps will be professionally packed and shipped separately. If shipped to the LA area the estimate including insurance is $35 each. The buyer will pay the exact cost.
