A really pretty pair of boxed Whiting Servers in the Lily pattern made Circa 1902. Both pieces have a very raised and beautifully designed decoration of blooming flowers and leaves. This decoration is on both the front and back. The head of the fork and the bowl of the spoon are nicely shaped with a floral motif that flares out to a scalloped edge. Both pieces are in SUPERB condition, t are no dings or dents or any other damage to either piece. The decoration is EXCEPTIONALLY crisp. The tips of the fork are sharp. The bowl of the spoon has a nice smooth egde and is not miss-shapen. Neither piece has a monogram and they have never had a monogram removed. The box is silk and velvet lined and in very good condition with just a few minor scuff marks, it closes tightly. The case has an old retailers stamp of A.Woollard, Westbourne Grove, London (near the famous Portobello Road). . The fork measures 9 1/4 inches and the spoon measures approx. 9 1/8 inches in length. They are both very excellent quality and have a nice solid feel in the hand. Both pieces are marked with the Whiting Lion, PAT 1902, R7D 1902, STERLING. Both also have English import marks for London 1915 (the year they were imported into the UK from the US). A very pretty boxed set of Whiting serving pieces in the Lily pattern, made circa 1902.
