Pair Old Paris First Empire Bombe Shape Covered Pots
J & J House Antiques Pair of old Paris porcelain First Empire bombe shape covered pots , 3" dia x 3"h., C 1795-1820. Beautifully painted floral reserves in color enamels of assymetrical shape framed with foliated gilt scrolling on blue celeste ground. Blue interlaced "L" marks painted on bottoms with letters enclosed & letters or symbols below. Open flower finials, chipped. One pot with drying fissure at top edge. Production fault dent in foot rim, glazed over & with blue ground enamel slightly spiled over. One is slightly thicker & slightly more cream colored & has a slightly more rolled top edge. One is incised on the bottom by hand with script "CA" ? or "CD"? & "1". The other is incised on the bottom with by hand "S" & "2". No restoration. Scroll Down For More Photos !!
