Being presented for your consideration this pair of Heavily Gilt early 19th century Minton Bone China Cups and Saucers! Mintons has long been known for its superior quality handcrafted porcelain, this reputation was set during the late Victorian era at the height of the gilded age, when Minton employed some of the finest artists and gilders available. This pair of cups and saucers has been lavishly decorated with heavily applied acid etched gilt bands and hand gilded stars. This on the molded pure white English bone china body, make this pair a truly distinguished set. Measuring 4 by 2.25 inches this pair of demitasse cups and saucers are in excellent condition with no signs of wear or damage. Marked on the base with the Crowned Minton backstamp and the retailer mark (J E Caldwell & Co). This set would be ideal for the Discriminating English cup and saucer collector who appreciates the quality of decoration found on pieces created by Minton, Copeland Spode, Royal Worcester, Aynsley, Royal Doulton, Coalport, Cauldon (Brown Westhead & Moore) and Royal Crown Derby!
