Background: All the Royal Copenhagen full lace plates I am listing have been in our family since new, in the mid 1950s, and were painted by the same group of artists around the same time. O nly used for past Christmas dinners, but have now been stored away for the last 20+ years. I was never aware before that there were two grades of plates, A & B, until researching the subject before selling. I now learn that a diamond cutter scratch through the Royal Copenhagen wavy lines indicates B grade (often called 2nd), which I was very surprised to find my plates all have. However, that said it is often impossible to see why they were classified as such as the reasons could be extremely minor. Despite these plates looking perfect imo, I have priced accordingly. This listing is for two 1957 plates suitable for any meal. They measure 9 .25 " (23.5cm) each. The photo is of the exact plates you would receive - painters xl and bx. They are both in excellent condition. Please ask me before bidding, if in doubt of anything.
