PAIR/SET ASIAN/JAPANESE VASES Very nice pair of hand painted Asian/Japanese vases. The vases are both two handled and are painted on all 4 sides of the vases. Any part of the vase that is colored and NOT gold is a raised relief. Only the gold is not raised.
All the colored areas are in excellent condition. Some of the gold areas have been rubbed off such as the rim details (see photo) and a little on the handles and along the edges/sides of the vases. The vases measure 11.5" round at the widest point and 8.5" tall. Both vases are in great condition EXCEPT for a section of one vase that contains a crack with 2 chips at either end of the crack (see photo). It appears that this piece in the photo broke off the vase originally and was glued back on. T are no other chips or cracks on either of the vases.
