Rare Pair Signed Imperial Japanese Meiji Period Silver Boxes! This exceptional pair of Japanese silver boxes are made of heavy silver with solid high karat gold mons on their covers. They have detailed leaves surrounding the mons on the cover, as well as around the sides of the body. Also on two sides t are rings attached to the bodies and they are both signed on their bases, as can be seen in the photo. The shape of one of the marks is slightly different, however they appear to have the same maker. They have a combined weight of 274 grams or 8.80 Troy ounces. They date from the Meiji period and measure approximately an inch tall by 2 + ½ inches square. They are in excellent condition with the exception that each one is missing a silver ring on one side. Shipping & Handling charger will be paid by Buyer. For domestic (USA) shipping we offer only USPS Priority Mail, unless item is over 25lbs, at this point we will offer UPS Ground.
