The Inari Okami, is the Kami of Rice, Fertillity,Agriculture,Foxes, and is presented as male and as well as female. Condition : NEW Size: 265x85 48φ Stick (10.4"x3.3" 1.8"φ) | 250x55mm Flag (9.8"x2.1") Material : Plastic/Cloth KAMIDANA is made by Shrine artists using traditional construction techniques of SHINTO shrine. It is put toward the front to the south or east. Dedicate Sake and water and salt and rice and Sakaki(sacred leaves) in a dedicated equipments"SHINGU", and also dedicate Sacred Mirror in front of KAMIDANA. - Where to place KAMIDANA - It is set to be visible from the room entrance. Bright and clean as possible locations. The top floor near the ceiling. Facing south or east. If it's difficult to set the top floor, put a piece of paper written "sky"or "cloud"or "empty" to the ceiling above the KAMIDANA. Or put a cloud plate to the shelf for placing the KAMIDANA. Please note : "OFUDA" is not included in this set. The Ofuda "Jingutaima" represents the most precious god Amaterasuomikami. We can get the Ofuda "Jingutaima" only in special shrine. If you want to get the Ofuda, it cost $18 additional. I go to the shrine and get it for you. - How to pray - It is appropriate to wash your face, rinse your mouth,dedicate water, salt and ricewine before you pray. 1.Bow lightly 2.Deep bow twice 3.Clap twice (Pray and dedicate congratulations.) 4.Deep bow once 5.Bow lightly It would be better to pray at least once a day, but the most important is the heart praying God and yourself. Kamidana is a sacred place for dedicating the Ofuda which you have given at a shrine. These rituals are closely linked to everyday life, and God has been worshiped as a familiar presence who always watch over our lives. Japanese people has been dedicated and prayed the Ofuda as a representative of God putting in Kamidana to express gratitude to God everyday. Pray the health and safety of your loved ones and everyone in the Morning, and thank God at the end of the day. When you had a fortunate or good thing, pray expressing the joy and thank God's favor in front of Kamidana. -What are needed to dedicate Kamidana? In general, a water bottle, 2 white dishes (for rice and salt), 2 wine bottles (for sacred sake), 2 Sakaki branchs (Sacred tree) are said to be needed. There can be a case dedicating Candles, Lanterns, Torii (Gate) and a donation box, if you want. Of course the mail Kamidana is required(^-^) In principle, Rice, Water and Salt are to be dedicated everyday. The first fruits and sacred wine are dedicated in 1, 15 and during the festival days. The lid of the water bottle to be opend during dedicating water. -How to dedicate Ofuda Put JinguTaima into the central room, your patron God's Ofuda into the right side room toward the shrine, and the Ofuda of the shrine you adore to the left. Ofuda should be renewed every year. The Ofuda which you have received as a sign of special prayer is to be dedicated outside of the Kamidana in the upright position. - The order of Ofuda for 3 rooms Kamidana 1. JinguTaima 2. Ofuda of your patron God (UjiGamiSama: Guardian of the region) 3. Ofuda of the shrine of your faith - The order of Ofuda for 1 room Kamidana If your Kamidana has only one room or the rooms are small, the Ofuda can be stacked. The JinguTaima is to be the front.
