A pair of tubelined art deco design of sailing ships manufactured by, I think, Malkin Tile Works in the C.1930's, I will be listing another pair with the exact same design but moulded and not tubelined and shown in Chris Blanchett's '20th. Century Decorative British Tiles' volume 2 page 337. Condition is very good, both have a bright glaze with overall crazing, tile 1 has one tiny nick to the tubelining mid front of the boat, tile 2 has a small edge chip to right of top edge The tiles have been framed and the backs are covered in tile mortar. Size of tile- 4ins. square by approx 3/8in. thick, Any further information please contact me.
