Up for auction is a lovely pair of Victorian Hand Blown Bristol Bird Vases with a fancy top ruffled edge. Done in a soft satin blue color. They are both highlighted with a platium silver trim. Both are enameled hand painted and accented with beautiful golds, browns, yellows, greens, whites, pinks, orange, greys, black, and silver colors. Both vases show a very proud mother bird standing next to her little baby bird in a sandy bed of brown sand. Beautiful green grasses growing on the edges with tall colorful veins, flowers and leaves running upwards to the top. Condition is wonderful. No chips,cracks,or repairs. Any faults are manufacturing ones. Colors are very bright and shiny. Very well kept for a pair of Victorian Vases. Each one is numbered on the bottom with a #16 which makes them an original matching signed pair. The vases have a left side and a right side bird position. They are done in a soft satin opague blue. Both have deep rough pontil marks on the bottoms. Definitely will stand out. Ready to grace any fire place mantle. They stand 11 1/2" tall, the bottoms are 4 1/8" in diameter and the top flutted edges are 4 1/2" in diameter. A very striking pair of vases. Beautifully Hand Painted in Wonderful Bright Colors. Great find for any bird collector. An older pair of bristol vases which you will treasure for years to come. Please check out my other auctions.
