You are bidding on a pair of porcelain busts of a Victorian couple. Lady is wearing a floppy hat with feathers and a puffy sleeve blouse with a bow in front. Man is wearing a Napoleon-style hat and a waist coat. Lots of great detail. Hand-painted. Marked on the bottom in red “HAND PAINTED BETSON”. Stand approx. 6 ¼ inches high. Measure approx. 4 inches wide across the front. Wonderful condition. No chips. No cracks. No crazing. Lady has a small indentation at the base which is painted over and appears to have been formed when the bust was created. The man has a mold line in one of the folds of his puffy shirt—mentioned for accuracy’s sake. Other than that, no chips, no cracks, no crazing.
