Here we have a fine pair of vintage 8.5" (21.5cm) fullrange speakers type AD 9710 M/01 ma de in Germany by PHILIPS VALVO back in the early 1960's . Serial numbers: 239 / 242 . These professional drivers have very light and stiff paper fibre cones with coaxial whizzers for extended treble range and powerful solid cast AlNiCo / TiCoNAl magnets. Ultra high efficient speakers with direct transient response and a really excellent wide and holographic soundstage ! The impedance is 8 ohms, RDC = 5.4 / 5.3 ohms, matched pair. Excellent condition considering the age, clean cones. Tested - perfect working order, see pictures for details ! Perfect fullrange drivers for open baffles or reso-cabinets in combination with single ended tube amplifiers !
