PAIR VINTAGE CHURCH ALTAR LIGHTS RELIGIOUS ARTIFACT These beautiful vintage altar lights were found in the attic of an old house in Franco-American Biddeford, Maine, and, I believe, came originally from the big Catholic church at the end of the street. They were made c. 1930 and consist of a 5-3/4" center crucifix surrounded by three candle lamps on an ornate gilded metal platform with three hanging metal tassels. The platform rests in a gilded wooden sleeve which in turn fits into a pedestal or other receptacle at the altar. They are approximately 7-1/2" in diameter by 17" high including the wooden sleeve and the candle bulbs, and come in a custom-fitted 8" x 12" x 16" leattte covered cardboard case. Although the case is well-scuffed and missing its lid, the lamps are immaculate, showing no damage that I can find, and virtually no wear. Even the original silk cords are like new. These would be a wonderful religious accent in your home, or could be easily modified to serve as unique table or floor lamps. NO RESERVE!!
