Up for auction is a pair of vintage or antique kerosene lanterns. Please read the description, and look at the pictures. We are offering these "AS IS", we cannot guarantee that they were used on the railroad or by the railway, however, that is what the owner said. This pair is unmarked, but that was common of these lamps. This pair was owned by Charles Eichel who worked for the Seminole Railroad from the early through mid-1900's. Charles worked for Seminole his entire working life, eventually working his way up to an executive position within the company. Mr. Eichel was in his 80's when he passed away several years ago. The metal portions of these lamps have a rusted patina but also still have areas of shiny copper - perhaps a copper leaf over steel? The jelly jar style glass portions are green and display some of the swirls and irregularities of old glass as well as seams. Both appear to have new wicks and we believe they would be fueled by kerosene. They would make charming accents to an outdoor entertaining area or any Country, Cabin, Cottage or Rustic decor. Great accent for model railroaders, too! These are not in any way replica, reproductions, or imitation. They are exactly old lanterns. Please contact us with any questions prior to bidding. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!Domestic shipping is $12 and international shipping
