I've enjoyed these treasures from the past for about four months now, having acquired them from an estate sale in the Missouri Ozarks. The lamps are in terrific condition with only a fallen butterfly in one lampshade. I THINK these are from the late 1930's or early 40's due to the following evidence: 1.) I also acquired the original owner's scrapbook and wedding dress - she was married around 1939, 2.) the electrical cord is rayon wrapped, 3.) the marks on the bottom of the lamp fall into the late 30's category, and 4.) the mulberry color was changed in the 1940's. As you can see from the photos, the lamps work just fine. I will include the 40 watt Natural Light bulbs that are used in the photos. Each lamp measures 11" with the shade clipped on the bulb. Bottom to socket top is 6.5". Bottom diameter of the lamps is 2.75" but the base rounds out to 4". The front and back butterflies are washed in BLUE over the mulberry. T are no chips or cracks on these very lovely beauties. The shades are 2 layers of a thick cellophane-like material. The blond hair, real butterflies and dried flowers are pressed between the back mulberry panel and the clear front panel. Tiny flowers are blue and pink. The golden-brown metal braid around the top and bottom of the shade was hand-stitched on. Braid is in very good condition. T are three small metal
