Pair WWI Era Figurines consisting of Spanish peasants male and female figures from the estate of a gentleman who served with the USN during World War I. After the war was over, this seaman returned to live with his family in Massachusetts carrying this pair of figurines with him. The figurines were placed in a special place in his home and remained there for his family to enjoy. When his estate was disbursed, this beautiful pair of figurines was inherited by his daughter who has now, decided to offer them for sale. Both figures are approximately 11 1/2" tall; the bases are 3 1/2" in diameter. These figurines are finite in detailed and were were produced in a very high quality ceramic porcelain. They are also, painted in finite detail. Over the years the paint has developed a worn quality resulting in a soft antique patina. Markings: Each figurine has a unique number (1284, 1286), and a torn paper tag is attached on the underside base with writing that cannot be deciphered. Condition: Excellent
