ANTIQUE SILVER QUADRUPLE PLATE DOME BUTTER DISH

I believe this is an antique silver quadruple plate covered dome butter dish made by Pairpoint Mfg Co. in the early 1900's. It has incredible detail! The only blemishes are that it has a little plate loss particularly around the area w the utensil was held and the utensil did not come with the dish. Also the inside is slightly worn. The only other flaw is that the prongs that are to hold the utensil are either broken off slightly or worn off. I am not silver or a Pairpoint expert so I can only do my best to explain what I see in this very intricate piece. The butter dish could also use a good cleaning, but I did not want to attempt that because this item is so delicate. We will leave that to an expert. It measures 6 1/4" tall x 8 1/2" wide (handles included). It is marked on the bottom as Pairpoint Mfg Co. Quadruple Plate (hallmark) New Bedford , Mass 540. The detailing on this item is beautiful. It would be a great addition for any collector ! I would be happy to answer any questions! The item will be shipped priority mail as soon as payment has been received and cleared. Thanks for looking!
