This is a lovely quadruple silverplated match holder made by Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford, Mass. 3747. The number 1857 is on the back. It is the Victorian motif decorated with decorative scrolls and flowers all around the edge and with 2 containers to hold the matches and a tray below them that is to hold the spent matches. It is in excellent condition although I haven't polished it as I like the original look of old silverplate. It is 5" X 5" and the original loop is intact to hang on the wall. A very nice addition to any collection.
