This is a silver plated cake basket/bread tray made by Pairpoint Manufacturing Co. It is hallmarked on the bottom #1255. The center is embossed with sea shells and flowers. The bail will only stay up if it is centered in the middle, however if you tap this piece the bail will fall down. T are superficial scratches in the center. The edges are crimped like a pie shell. T is a border around the base with pretty leaves and flowers and the feet are very ornate. It stands approx. 9 1/2" high and it is approx. 9 1/2 wide. This piece shows really nice and the silver plating is in great condition for the age. This piece is listed on pg 49 in the Reprint of the 1894 Pairpoint Manufacturing Co. Catalogue
