This is a FABULOUS designed, silverplated piece that is in FABULOUS Condition!
The back is incised 'PAIRPOINT MFG. CO....QUADRUPLE PLATE...1255.' The top of this large dish or 'basket' has a Beautiful high raised or repousse design of Sea Shells, Seaweed, and Flowers! The edge of this large dish is curved with scalloped or 'pinched pie crust' edge and t is an engraved design all around the circumference. I think this is called a Victorian 'brides basket'. The handle is ornate and beautiful, and works perfectly. The footed base has a detailed floral and vine raised design that I think is called chased. This has only very few minor light scuffs to the surface edge, and a polishing should remedy this, and one small scrape spot to the side of the top. For size, this beauty measures 9+1/2" in diameter, and is 9+1/4" in height with the handle 'up'! YOUR SATISFACTION is GUARANTEED, No Problem!
