This is one of the more difficult notes to get when building a collection of Pakistan Bank notes from a scratch. The design does not feature any portrait and is very similar to British bank notes of this era. ( King George VI) although its design is attributed to Abdur Rehman Chughtai This is the first note to feature bangla script on the reverse for the name of the central bank. The denomination is also in bangla characters in two out of four corners, again on th reverse and not on the front. Language was an an important issue in the events leading up to 1971 when the eastern province declared independence after a horrifying civil war and Indian intervention. This should be an important note for collectors of Pakistan, Bangladesh, British Commonwealth and general collectors of world bank.
