Offered for bids is an absolutely spectacular French Napoleon III Pink opaline egg carriage mounted on an ormolu base with wheels being pulled by a goat.The dore scroll supporting the egg is adorned with leaves and flowers. T are some very very minor splits on the undercarriage. Hand painted egg is in excellent condition with bird finial. I see no signs of repairs or problems. Clasp works very well. 3 3/8" tall and 5" long. This little casket might be a souvenir from the Grand tour..Fits in that time period. Check Some of the other Antique Web-sites for Similar examples selling for upwards of 1000.00. I am listing this with no reserve. I wish you all luck. What a perfect gift for the holidays.
