This is a beautiful sterling silver and guilloche enamel compact. In addition to the delicate pink enamel work, there is a handpainted scene of birds perched on a limb with floral trailing vines. The birds appear to be Martins. On the interior is a round framed in mirror on one side and a covered loose powder well on the other. Inside the well you will find a powder sifter and puff. On the lid of the well are 3 hallmarks. One is stamped, "C & N", one is a lion and the third is the letter "A". The backside of the compact has a simple textured surface in silver. This piece measures 3" square, is in excellent condition both inside and out and still has traces of loose powder left.
