Panama Rail Road Company Stock Certificates-(2) 22 Shares of $100, No. 17442 issued to Harriot & Noyes, Bankers, on April 2nd, 1872, and transferred on April 3rd, 1872 (XF) On the front of the certificate is RN-U1 25c Stamp imprinted and on the back there is a 1871 perforated R112-25c, blue and black revenue, cut cancel stamp It is hand signed by F.W.G Bellows, President of Panama Rail Road Company and Henry Smith, Treasurer 1 Share of $100, No. 15064 issued to Walter Mason on June 3, 1869, and transferred on May 6, 1871 (XF) On the front of the certificate there is a RN-T4 25c Stamp with a blue round stamp Panama RR Co. 88 Wall Street, NY and on the back of the back of the certificate there is a perforated RN-T4 25c Stamp It is hand signed by David Hoadley (1st President of the PRRC) and Henry Smith, Treasurer The Panama Railroad is considered the 1st Continental Railroad, completed in 1855- 14 years prior to the completion of the United States Transcontinental Railroad.
