I have acquired a significant portion of the personal collection of Ralph Merrill, proprietor of Minerals Unlimited for over 60 years! All of his specimens are well documented with collection labels, numbers affixed to specimens or boxes, and an accompanying collection card unless otherwise noted. So far, the specimens all appear to be unique without duplication, and includes many localities and species I was unfamiliar with.Paralaurionite, Hydrocerussite, Calcite Shepton Mallet, Somerset, England, United Kingdom 3.3 x 1.4 centimeters Ralph E. Merrill personal collection A rich miniature size specimen of Paralaurionite, Hydrocerussite, and Calcite from Somerset, England. This specimen features smokey crystals of Paralaurionite intergrown with Calcite cleavages and white Hydrocerussite. A fine specimen from a classic English locality. Paralaurionite is a rare chloride of lead, known from less than 50 world localities, many of which are slags. Ralph acquired this specimen in 1953 from Davidson. I am listing many rare species and unusual locality specimens this week, all starting at just one dollar. I'm happy to combine shipping for multiple orders! Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
