Offered to day is an incredible barn find from Northern France. A FABULOUS antique carved and gilded French settee from the Napoleon III era. Rarely do we find these frames in such original condition and with perfect patina. This stunning piece evokes all the timeless grandeur of a late 19th century Paris apartment salon. The frame is a sturdy construction of gilded fruit wood. We have recovered it using a beige green striped fabric also source in France. In makes a perfect combination! It is 25 inches deep and 37 inches tall at the top of the ribbon carving. For shipping within the 48 States we recommend Plycon van lines. Delivery is available within southern California and to the Bay area. Pickup is also always an option. A note on condition. The settee is circa 1880-1910 and retains its original gilding. As such it shows signs of more than a century of wear. T are places w the gilding has rubbed exposing the cinnabar red underneath. The frame is in very sturdy condition without the slightest give it is not at all rickety. The upholstery is new using top grade French sourced fabric for a total period look.
