This is a very rare tobacco card album entitled Album of the Paris Exhibition issued by the Allen & Ginter Cigarette Company in 1889. I do not know what the catalog designation for this album is. The front cover has two very small notches of paper(about 1/4 inch wide in both cases) missing on the lower and upper left corners. The rest of the pages in the album are in near mint condition. I believe the back cover is missing. The original string is still with the album and is attaching all the pages in the album. Inside the album are pictures of the exhibits by various countries of the world present at the Paris World Exhibition of 1889. All of the pictures(lithographs) are very vibrant in their colors. These albums are much rarer than the tobacco cards themselves. Shown below are representative photographs of this album. You will find that I tend to underestimate the condition of my cards. After collecting cigarette cards for over 15 years, I am selling my collection. I will accept cash as a payment, but at the buyer's risk.
