Here is a Exquisite Substantial Size Soup Tureen of Vieux Paris or Old Paris Porcelain. It measures 11in high including stylish finial. It measures 14in across aproximately including 2 handles. The lid measures 91/2 inch across. This porcelain tureen is of gold and cranberry raspberry band which is a most coveted color for collectors. Condition overall is very good, There are no chips, but the lid does have a hairline across the lid. This line does not detract from the beauty of this handsome piece. Paypal only and No refunds. There is some gold loss expected from a piece of this age around 1880. Shipping is a little more considering the size and fragile condition packing will require. Thankyou for your Viewing!
The 2 lates pictures of the bottom of the tureen which says H & Co no. 1 , which I believe is Haviland Limoge the early stages during the 1880s still considered "Vieux Paris or Old Paris" The other pic is of the bottom of the lid showing the hairline does go through to the back. The lid is strong and secure and this does not deter from the exceptional beauty and size of this tureen. "Very Decorative" The bottom base part of this tureen is in excellent condition free of any chips cracks or flaws other than a little gold loss on the handles. The raspberry stripe is very decorative and the finial is so unusual and the gold on it is flawless. This piece is a decorators show piece Exquisite and Rare! It looks like this dates early Haviland 1865-1875 after doing research. The H & Co. no.1, is embossed underglazed meaning Haviland and Company. Haviland was noted for their extravagant gold and design work on Limoge porcelain, setting them above other Limoge producing porcelain companies. The gold and the elaborate finial on this piece for example which is in impeccable condition considering the age. These pieces were also called "Old Paris", I guess being the age of it coming from the "Old Paris" time into Haviland. See matching Vegetable covered dish, just listed. Thanks for Viewing!
