PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN BLACK 14K EARLY MODEL c1940 PARKER DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN BLACK 14K EARLY MODEL c1940 A very fine and early Parker Duofold fountain pen in black colour. Appears to be made of celluloid. With a 14k solid gold nib.Made circa 1921. Cap Screw fit, with a tight pocket clip displaying 'PARKER' and a flat black tassie. Has two thin gold bands on the base of the cap, one of which appears brassed.Please refer to condition notes on cap.Nib In solid 14k yellow gold. Appears to be medium in size. Inscribed with 'PARKER, DUOFOLD, 14K, PEN, N' on the nib. Barrel Colour matched to the cap with a flat blind tassie. Imprinted with 'GEO S PARKER, PARKER DUOFOLD, REG. T.M.'. Filler Base of pen unscrews to reveal gold coloured filler button which appears to depress as normal. Please refer to condition notes below. Condition :Appears to be in fair antique condition as the cap does not screw on to the barrel for some reason and is therefore sold as is.As we are not pen experts, we have not tested the pen or opened the pen or examined the filler mechanism. As such, the pen may need either or a service, a new ink sac, a flush or a fill of ink to make this fountain pen operational.Length 13 cm closed / capped 11.11 cm open / uncapped Very fine craftsmanship.
