The first Duofolds didn't have a band on the cap, Parker soon realized this made the pens prone to cracks and breaks. The next generation of Duofolds have this thick band placed very close to the lip of the cap, these were called golden girdle pens. Offered is a Parker Senior Duofold Golden Girdle pen, black hard rubber, gold filled trim, raised thick band, no cracks or chips, significant brassing on clip and band, does not take ink, the part of the section which holds the sac is broken, section needs to be replaced in order to write with this pen, moderate oxidation, Duofold nib is bent slightly to left at tip but writes smoothly, Lucky Curve feed, nib is stamped with a "B" near the section, imprint is very worn, I believe it is the medium size imprint, cap diameter 9/16", capped length 5-1/2", a scarce well used pen in fair condition, a little TLC would make a great daily writer. I will accept money order or paypal. US buyer pays $4.00 s/h plus the actual cost of insurance. International buyer pays actual shipping cost plus a $5.00 fee.
