Parker Streamlined Duofold Senior Fountain Pen in superb, restored and working condition. Color is mandarin yellow with black end caps and gold filled trim. The pen is 5 1/8" long; the diameter of the cap is just under 5/8". The 14K gold nib is semi-flexible, medium and imprinted: "PARKER - DUOFOLD - 0279593 (serial number ) - MADE IN U.S.A." All plastic and gold filled surfaces are smooth and shiny with no cracks, gouges, chew marks or personal names. The barrel has two imprints; the Parker imprint is very good, complete and reads: "GEO. S. PARKER - DUOFOLD - PATENTED - MADE IN U.S.A." The second imprint reads: "COUNTRY LIFE INSURANCE CO." The beautiful mandarin yellow color is uniform throughout with no dark areas. T is very slight though imperceptible and typical high point brassing on the clip ball and edge of the cap band. The clip is imprinted: "PAT. SEP. 5 - 16 - PARKER". The end caps are dark black, smooth and shiny. The pen dates from the early 1930's. A beautiful Streamlined Duofold Sr. in the rare mandarin yellow color; fabulous condition.
