Up for auction is a rare " The American Eagle COMMEMORATIVE SERIES Knife Set made by Schrade for James F. Parker Knife Co. This set contains five (5) folding knives with MATCHING SERIAL NUMBERS (08765) on each bolsters which are nickel silver. This set has the Parker Eagle Shield which is inscribed with a patriotic quote on each Delrin handle. T is also an etching of the Parker Eagle on each of the long blades that contain the name of a historical figure with the date of their birth & death. This limited edition set as marked on each knife also has the S.W. Cut (SCHRADE-WALDEN) and E4 USA stamp on the first blade which is 3" long, second is 2-1/4" long, and the last is 2" long. This set was not thrown together like some sets are, as stated they have matching serial #'s and are unused, never sharpened or carried and in their original display case, a super rare find. I believe these were made in the 80's and Imperial Schrade is long out of business. Stainless steel blades with a zippered catch that measures 4" long when closed. This vintage set is almost impossible to find together yet alone with matched serial #'s and its original issued display, an extremely nice and highly collectible commemorative stockman knife set. Knives are mint and case is near mint, some very light scratches on the plastic cover, and two tacs are missing. read more
