Parker Vacumatic GOLDEN PEARL- Pen & Pencil Set- LOVELY Specifics Type Fountain pen and pencil Product Name Parker Vacumatic - Blue Diamond Manufacturer and Year Parker - 1940s (The imprint on the pencil barrel says ".0." but I can't find a date mark on the pen. I acquired these separately, so t's a good likelihood they didn't originate together.) Length Pen is 5-1/8 and pencil is 4-5/8 Filling System Vacumatic plunger filler is in excellent working condition -- it expels liquid very vigorously. I did not replace the diaphragm, so I cannot predict how long it will last, but it seems excellent and in my experience, as long as you keep "exercising" the sac, it will continue to be pliable and good. Color Golden pearl -- gorgeous striped pattern with good visibility thru the pen body. T is only minor discoloration. The gold filled trim is excellent with a small amount of brassing on the pen's cap band, and a little more on the cap band of the pencil. Nib Beautiful, smooth-writing medium nib. Lots of iridium. Condition As described above, this set is very nice cosmetically. T is only a small amount of hand wear on the pen and almost none on the pencil. No scratches or cracks.
