Parlour Folk Guitar 1930s USA made with original case. This beautiful little guitar is in fantastic condition with such a lovely finish, clear and warm tones and other features that you just don't cannot get on modern made acoustic instruments. The build uses an extremely high quality spruce top (flattop and ladder braced), fancy flamed/tiger maple (solid) back, solid maple sides and neck, tortoishell pickguard, and an elevated fretboard extension (With a 24" scale with a 1 3/4" nut and a radiused rosewood fretboard giving it real playability) and neck joint like an archtop. Other features include an adjustable and compensated rosewood bridge. Radiused rosewood fretboard and celluloid dots. Celluloid-bound soundhole. top and back are bound in cream celluloid binding too. Good strong neck joint. A fancy tail piece that i have not seen on any other parlour guitar before. I noticed a possible stamp or repair by the tail piece, i could not see any evidence of repair inside the guitar... see photos (looks like xxx with screws either side)It also sounds like nothing else of this style, with sprinklings of gypsy jazz or quality archtop guitars. A very similar sound to the smaller-bodied 30's Gibson round-hole archtops ala Robert Johnson style. It'll cut and pop and zing, too.The guitar has had overall cleaning, and setup.
