Up for auction is an early oil or kerosene lamp burner complete with old lipped chimney. Lamp base is not included in the auction. Large No 2 size to use on table or parlor lamp, fits in a number two size collar with 1 ¼” threads. The burner has “Bridgeport Brass Co. Pat Aug 10 ‘75” stamped the wick turner knob, believe made in Connecticut ca. 1870s, excellent used condition, has been cleaned and polished to a shiny bright patina, tiny split on the removable top cap. Also included is an old crimp top flint glass flared bottom lip chimney, signed “Champion Fine Flint” on the neck, measures 2 5/8” wide at the bottom and 8 ¼” tall, no chips or cracks, slight SCA purple tint to the glass, and a hint of fogginess when viewed in bright light. This is a hard to find early burner and lipped chimney set for collection, display, or to burn on your favorite oil lamp. Terms for closing the sale.
