This bar spoon and ashtray set was made by the famous silversmiths of The Thunderbird Shop in Santa Fe, NM in the early to mid 1950's. The spoon is hallmarked "Sterling" and with the shop's Thurnderbird imprint, while the ashtray is only hallmarked "Sterling". The spoon measures approximatley 12" long and the ashtray is a little under 3 1/2" across. The bezel-set turquoise stones each measure approx. 1/2" x 1" +/-. The spoon weighs 2.2 ounces and the ashtray weighs 2 ounces. As with all Thunderbird Shop pieces, the craftsmanship is exquisite. Wonderful momentos of the bygone cocktail ear with a southwestern flair! Insurance is recommended for US shipments. I only use UPS for international shipments and insurance is REQUIRED.
