This auction is for the 2006 Patricia Breen ornament "Lighting the Tree" TBA which is done in the gingerbread motif. It is also a VRQ ornament which is Very Restricted Quantities and this ornament is impossible to get. When I opened the box it literally took my breath away, and THAT is NOT easy to do. The attention to detail is nothing short of amazing. I'm putting a reserve on this ornament so buyers can take advantage of the "Buy it Now" feature. This is an incredible, fully glittered Santa wearing a light tan robe that is covered with golden snowflakes embellished with golden and 'diamond' Austrian crystals. The trim on his sleeves and hat are alternating red, white and green glittered stripes but the red stripes have red crystals imbedded in the red glitter for a sparkle that is truly amazing. His mittens are glittered red with glittered holly leaves red Austrian crystals for the berries. The bottom is white holographic chopped glitter which I guess represents snow. Santa is holding gold glittered string of lights which are large multi colored crystals and the plug at the end of the string is black glitter.The bottom of his robe is decorated with Gingerbread men edged in white glitter, with black crystals for buttons. Their noses are red crystals and they are wearing red and white glitter striped hats with 'fur' glitter trim. T are also red,white and green striped candy canes(of course they're glittered), candy pinwheels in red, white and green glitter with green crystals in the center. This ornament is ABSOLUTELY stunning. The photos below were taken of an ornament I sold a few weeks back w I had to take the ornament out of the studio packaging as they packed bubble wrap between Santa and the string of lights to protect it during shipping and t was no way to get a remotely representative photo. In spite of removing the packaging, they still do not even come close to doing this ornament justice. This ornament glitters and sparkles--a real treasure and will become a family heirloom. The ornament you will receive is STILL SEALED IN THE PLASTIC FROM THE STUDIO. It stands approx. 5.5" tall and comes with the cream studio tag and will be shipped in the box it obviously shipped in from the studio and the packaging will be put back as received. Patricia Breen has become internationally known for breathtakingly beautiful ornaments. Each requires about 30 hours of expert craftsmanship, from mouth-blowing the shape to painstaking lacquerwork, hand silvering, and hand painting. But the level of detail achieved is worth it: beautiful faces, expressive eyes, lush flowing beards, imaginative forms, expert calligraphy, and glittering that defies description.
