To fully describe the sword, is the information from the magazine from which I purchased the sword; "Each piece in the Tiger group has a hand-forged and folded K120C powder steel blade with Bo-Hi and a short (ko) kissaki. Saya are deeply lacquered in black, with inlaid brass bamboo leaves. The ray skin used on the tsuka is of the highest quality, and the tsuka-ito and sageo on all three pieces are woven from best quality Japanese cotton. The Fuchi, Kashira, Kojiri, Koiguchi and Kurigata are all made from blackened bronzed iron, selectively detailed in gold. The Tsuba of the Katana and Wakizashi are made from blackened iron, with a tiger inlaid in brass. The Habaki is of one-piece brass construction." This sword is hand forged and is a folded steel blade. Paul Chen Hanwei Swords are one of the the biggest sword manufacturers in the industry. They produce swords from just about every category and genre. However, they mainly speciallize in Japanese blades. I have owned this sword for almost a year now, and have cleaned it several times using the sword cleaning kit that came with the sword. It has been on display on a black lacquer stand that I purchased seperately from the same retailer. Both the cleaning kit and the display stand are included in the auction. T is no more rice paper that was included in the cleaning kit, but I will also be providing a box of rice paper that I purchased seperately. Naturally, the saya (scabbard) will also be included. The sword has NEVER been used for any cutting or swordplay. The sword and stand are in perfect condition. The scabbard has a light thin crack near w the sword meets the scabbard. Other than that it is in excellent condition. I recently pulled this auction off of eBay because I was having second thoughts. It's an amazing sword, and I am not sure if I will find another like it. Financial issues have forced me to reconsider, and now it is back up for sale. If t are any questions please feel free to contact me.
